Since i havent posted in a while i thought i would just put up some random pics of the girls. They are both so amazing. Jocey has been busy with dance, acting and preschool and she is has made the desicison to go to school this coming august. She is learning how to add and subtract and is writing and learning to read like crazy it is so werid. Bella Reese is one old soul she has a mind of her own and the girl knows what she wants when she wants it. She is all about playing dress up and wrestling with dad, she is so proud of herself because she knows her alphabet, and can count to 10. She is pretty much potty trained but we still have the occassional accident. It is so funny Jocey and Ressey are becoming the best of friends they color, snuggle, dress up, act out movies, cook with mom and wrestle and tell stories with dad. We are just having a blast. Trev has been so amazing working like a crazy man being so selfless and building his successful buisness while being such an amazing dad and husband. Us girls couldn't be luckier to have him.

Jocelyn is quite the actress in the making and has been taken a class that includes: vocal, acting and technical ballet. Well their first performance was the "Wizard of Oz". Jocelyn age group were assigned to be the munchins and of course she was the best one:) P.S. sorry its been so long since a post but had serious computer issues and i also want to apologize for my xmas background i cant figure how to change it so when my fabulous sis n law gets back from her vacation in new york i will make her change it. Getting in the christmas spirit????? well most of our family is and Bella reese is getting there:) We hope you are all enjoying yourselves and keeping the crazy stress to a minimum. The Santa picture was such a classic that the girls taking the picture entered it into some "screaming baby contest" so we will keep you posted. Trev was all about it and ready for some competition.

This weekend we are getting ready for Christmas at disneyland lets just all pray bell -bell likes Mickey better then Santa.

So in our family we have a tradition that the sunday after thanksgiving the girls make their christmas wish list and leave it in their shoe and place it by the front door in hopes that when they wake up santa's most trusted elf came and took their list back to santa and left a surprise. Well as always he did and left behind their christmas jamies, two xmas dvds and a learning book for bell bell and the game hungary hipppos for jocey. What a fun tradition thanks mom and dad for doing it for me when i was a kid it is so fun to carry on traditions:) side note i had to throw in the pic of bella-reese she has a crazy love for cheetos she was in heaven:)

Happy Thanksgiving to all we hope you ate lots of fabulous turkey:) We stuck with our tradition and went to our aunt ellen and uncle chris house for dinner. The girls both have colds and did not have much of a desire to eat but jocey did eat some and bella-reese ate probably a cup of ranch dip:)

We had another awesome halloween. Our little lady bug and bumble bee were a hit where ever we went. We kept our family tradition of going early in the afternoon to take our grandparents, and close friends treats. We went and saw great grandparents cox, with great aunt Tiffany and Angie and cousin maddie, great grandma schmidt (grandpa is in lambo field watching the fabulous packers play with uncle tannar, dane and bobby), aunt ellen and uncle chris, grandma and grandpa don and cheryl and the parkhurst family we missed the hartsell family we hope they had a great halloween though. The biggest miss was for grandma and grandpa Sorensen. We miss them so much but we did get to talk to them on the phone.We also miss our Yeates family, uncle cody and aunt jen, Uncle bryan and aunt Nicole and uncle brad and danny. we love and miss you all it stinks not getting to see all them very often. After that we went to trunk or treat at the church and aunt kait came to help us. There was a dog there and that is all bella wanted to do was play with that dog she could have cared less about the candy all she wanted was a sucker in her mouth at all times. She only threw one tantrum at grandma cox's in her front yard which was huge cuz lately her whole life has been a tantrum. After trunk or treat Trev took bella home then kait and i took Joce trick or treating at my moms neighborhood. She went to one house and they had a scary black cat and Joce looked at Kait and said I am done I want to go home. So home we went and in the bath the girls went. Our buggies had fun and so did we this is such a fun time in our lives. Happy Halloween to all:)

So i have to give a huge shout out to my parents and my two younger sisters kait and Jess. Honestly they are so amazing and are so wonderful to my girls. Both my girls are so attached to them because of all they do for and with them. My mom pretty much watches my girls every friday while i am at work, and my dad usually tries to come home early that day to spend time with my mom and girls. so my poor mom has to take Jocelyn to Dance at 10am then home for lunch, trapoline time, digging in the dirt, naps and usually some kind of cooking or craft project then acting class at 3pm. My two sisters try to help as much as they can but it is a crazy schedule and this friday was no exception. They did dance then home to carve pumpkins and eat all the guts which apparently my girls love pumpkin guts and turned into lunch ha ha! My parents even got them their own little pumpkins to carve and keep and make a plate of bat cookies for mom and dad. They were delicous by the way thanks mom:) Joce didnt have acting because she had her performance on wednesday which my mom made sure she was there of course and so she got them all dressed and took them to trunk or treat till 8pm. I am so grateful for a family who really cares and takes interest in my kids that is hard to come by now a days. Thanks again mom dad and girls we love you!

Jocelyn is at such a fun age right now. She has become my little buddy. People tell me all the time that we should get her into acting. Well against my better judgement my sweet hubby convinced me to put her into a class we found an lds run company called "Hollywood Kids Academy" and for 10.00 bucks she get 20min of vocal lessons, 20min of acting and 20 min of technical ballet every friday. Her teacher is actually one of the girls in the ward who i happen to visiting teach. Mrs. Joelle. Miss Joelle is fabulous she has been on broadway and has been on "who's line is it anyways" and won 100,000 grand. She is amazing and jocelyn is having so much fun. Every month they learn a new fairy tale and at the end of the month they perform it. Her 1st performance was this week and they did cinderella. She did awesome and was not shy (i know that, that comes as a huge surprise ha ha). Jocelyn also still does tap and jazz class once a week with Mrs. Lori and we could not love her more. Jocey also loves hanging out with my young women every wednesday night. She helped me cook my young women dinner and went halloween shopping with us. She is like our class mascot and my young women just love her.

So today i was determined to at least pretend i was a good mom and get in the holiday spirit. So the day started off with getting Jocey ready for school after we ate breakfast. She was so impressed with her cute hair and outfit that she just had to pose for the camera (she is histarical) while i was getting her ready apprently i didn't feed Bella enough because she strolled in with a loaf of french bread that she had helped herself to. Then after Jocey got home from school we had lunch and watch monsters and aliens the movie together. Then we painted pumpkins. They both loved it but bella ended up painting herself more then the pumpkin she didnt like the paint getting on her fingers so she would wipe them off on her shirt except i took her shirt off so by the end her chest and belly were covered in paint. Then before dinner we made our dessert of traditional carmel apples and popcorn. They loved making that . They both have developed a love for cooking and cook with me every day it definately slows me down and I cant get stuff done as quick, but so fun to do with my little mommies in training. It was a good day. Love it.

Just Another Sunday Morning.

Sunday mornings are our families favorite. We wake up very slowly and hang out in bed laughing and talking. Daddy often tells some dramatic made up fairy tale to the girls. Then the girls and I usually make dad a big sunday breakfast (french toast and bacon is the girls favorite). Then we slowly start getting ready after we ate breakfast in bed as a family. I know you are thinking i am crazy, syrup in my bed with a 4 and 1 yr old but what can i say at least i am making memories right??? Bella-Reese thought she would help get herself ready and laid down in my bed and proceeded to apply her mascara, not bad for a 1 yr old. This sunday was especially special because we went to mesquite to see cousin "Cooper Donald Jensen" be blessed. Dad was in the blessing circle and Cooper is now grandpa dons favorite since he is his namesake. of course i forgot my camera like an idiot. you can go to debbyleavitt.com and see coop's newborn pictures he is beautiful.

They loved Chucky on stage but not when he tried to come mingle. Bella loved him so much she climbed up on stage with chucky and started dancing it was awesome.

Jocelyn Really enjoyed her cupcake or at least every last morsel of icing:)

Jocey and Her best friend Ellie Wroble. They could not be more opposite from each other and yet play so well together. Jocelyn is crazy outgoing, energtic, spontaneous, where ellie is totally type a, calm and follows the rules to a "T". I love that jocey has such great friends already.

Bella was fearless and wanted to ride every ride. The crazier and the more the ride moved the better. It was worth every penny.

Trev was so thrilled to be a the grimmy germ infested kid wonderland:) He is such a good sport.

Ruby Jane another one of Jocey's sweet and calm friends. Ruby was so cute she was so sad that all the seats were taken by jocey by other kids so simple solution she had joce share a seat with her. I love it.

Grandma cheryl and aunt jess came to the rescue yet again. I went to pick up jo's cake and to my surprise they didn't make it. It was exactly what every mom wants to hear 30min before the party starts. Needless to say the ugly cake she got was not the cake she was suppose to have but my mom and jess went to chucky cheese early to save tables and help me set up extremely quickly. Thanks to both of you.

Grandma Roxy stopped in for a quick visit on her way up to utah for the big "Y" games. Go studly quarter back uncle Brad, and she spoiled jocey like crazy. All we have watched the last week has been 3 swan princess dvds.

Jocey insisted i make her a pink tweety bird cake. Not my best cake that is for sure. Actually it looks more like a skeleton tweety on crack. At least it tastes good. Sorry joce mommy tried.

Belated 30th Birthday Post!!!

Even though 30 can be depressing because all it means is responsibility this was my best birthday ever. My wife spoiled me as always, and planned a very relaxing weekend at the Ritz. The Ritz is a five star hotel located at the Lake Las Vegas Resort which felt like we were out of town. She had scheduled a couple massage, lunch at my favorite pizzeria "Grimaldis", and had a basketball court added to our side yard while we were gone. The promise of having such a wonderful wife for another 30 years was all I needed but it was nice to be spoiled. Lex and I are high end hotel junkies. Of course Lex had to have a theme which was "30 presents for 30 years" and each one had meaning to me. The presents, the get away, and the room service were amazing, but all I really need are my 3 girls to be happy and look forward to another 30 years.

The Treadmill from Hell!!!!

So I win the prize for mother of the year. On Tuesday I was trying to be good and work out (that is why i should just be content with being fat) and bella decided to climb on and take a ride, however her little face got caught inbetween the wall and the treadmill. It was the worst thing i ever watched as she was screaming and i was waiting for the treadmill to stop after pulling the emergency cord. Trust me i tried to immediately grab her but she was trapped and i knew if i ripped her up it would do more damage to her precious face. Long story short I took her to the ER the ER doctor started balling when I told her the story. The cat scan and mri all came back normal. What a blessing!!!! She has 6 strawberries all over her body and a 2nd degree burn on the side of her face. Thanks for everyone who keeps calling to check on her. The wroble family really spoiled her they brought her yummy cupcakes, which she devoured, a babydoll with a bandaid on her face to match, and flowers. What great friends we have..... Janelle baugh also brought over some numbing cream from clear across town so my baby wasn't in so much pain. So although I failed all of you came through, Thanks. Trev band me from the treadmill when the kids are awake, probably a swell idea:) No need to worry bella is using this to her advantage, any time she does not get what she wants she points to her head and says "ouwee" and whimpers. She is one smart cookie!

The Big Recital!

Jocey had her 1st big dance recital, and it was actually the 30 year big show for Mrs. Lori so I came back as alumni and choreographed and danced as well. We had a blast. Jocelyn did fall one time but jumped right back up and kept on going we were so proud of her. Of course the best part for her was the tons of flowers everyone gave her, and daddy taking her for frozen yogurt after.

Girls Weekend!!! The girls and I went with the Pyne girls to help them move into their fabulous new home. It was a fun filled weekend playing in the snow, unpacking, playing, and visiting family. Aunt Jen and Uncle Cody were at our service and drove us all over Utah. I can't thank them enough. They are wonderful and it made me sad we don't get to see them more. They took us to see Great Grandpa Sorensen Jocey was petrified of him, and Bella just kept kissing his head. When we got there his cute little 93 year old girlfriend was there and when she left she planted the biggest kiss ever on him. Go Grandpa!!! He is one fisty old man all he kept talking about was the "pretty nurses". He just wanted me to tickle his head and then he passed out. Trev's Uncle Kent and Aunt Jill take care of him. They are so wonderful and sacrifice so much time and energy to make sure grandpa is comfortable, healthy, and well taken care of. I hope they both know how much the family appreciates all their hard work. Cody and Jen also took us to see Great Grandma Gleave and we went and had dinner. It was wonderful to see her. She is the healthiest active grandma ever. Joce just loved grandma. She served grandma tea for about 30minutes. We happened to "accidentally" bump into our missionary Danny on his way to Costa Rica he had no clue we were coming, and almost started crying when he saw Joce. He looked amazing. We are so excited for him.

We had a way to quick lunch with Aunt Amy and her beautiful kids. It was way to short and Jocelyn loves playing with her girls. Hopefully we will get to play with them more Easter weekend. Brynnley's house is beautiful and she got settled really quick. The Pyne girls are so excited to start a fun new life in Utah. Jocelyn cried for a half an hour when I told her Olivia (her best little friend) was not going to live in "Las Begas" (as Joce likes to call it) she has asked to see her several times since we have been home. We are excited for them, but will miss them very much. The one thing i learned from this trip is never go to the airport alone with 2 small children and no stroller. It was pretty much like pure torture, but the plane ride was fun. The best part was to see our Daddy after a long weekend away from him. The girls and I missed him so much and good not wait to get our arms around him. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder!

My girls are addicted to their daddy. They are the happiest when their daddy is home. The second the door opens Bella bee lines for the door, and just wants Trev to hold her and walk around with her. They are so lucky to have the dad they have. Trev learned alot from his dad and I am so grateful for that. Also Jocey had "princess day" in dance class she wanted to be Snow White. She was in heaven!!! I had to work that day so my poor mom had to take Joce and Livi pyne to class, get them ready and watch bella. Needless to say she was a little tired by the end of the day. Thanks for being such an awesome grandma:) At the end of class Mrs. Lori asked Jocey "what would be your dream come true???" Joceys response was "for my prince charming to come and rescue me" Sorry Joce! Did not know your life was so rough:)

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday. The leprechaun came to visit our house and brought the girls the movie "Pinocchio" a couple of new outfit, bubble gum and toy cell phones. A lot of people have told me I am crazy to have the leprechaun come visit that i am holding myself to a crazy standard, however, we had a blast it was fun to break up our normal daily routine with a few small gifts and fun Irish food. Trev's present was a large plate of slow cooked corned beef, coleslaw, and baked potato. We had a blast making cupcakes, watching our new movie and going on a way to long walk. Maybe I am a little crazy....

I have been Converted!!!!

So this "Coupon Class" has been all the rave, and i have been officially converted. So for the few of you that have no clue what I am talking about people are hosting these "coupon parties" all over town where they teach us all about this website that rates how good the weekly grocery ads are every week, in addition it links you to printable coupon sites and then the big trick is they tell you if there is a coupon in the paper for each item and what week the coupon was in the Sunday paper. To be really successful you have to get multiple papers with a maximum of 5 papers every Sunday. For my family I get 4. I probably could have been good with 3 but I really wanted to bulked up my food storage and it is going to help me big time. So for example last week albertsons had a huge sale. So it took me 1 hour to clip and prepare using the website and my coupons and then 1 hour and 20 min to shop, and I got 320 dollars of groceries for a whopping 65 dollars. So when I averaged it out I got 86 items so it would end up being .75 cents for each item. You can barely buy gum for .75 cents anymore, and as you can see I got 6 top sirloin lean cuts of good meat. Normally that alone would have cost me 65 bucks. So big shout out to Jen Morris my dear friend who brought this to my attention. I love it, and am so excited to be saving my family so much during these rough economic times. For those of you who hate coupons and the clipping and time it takes, I use to feel your pain, but this makes it so easy and time efficient especially for the amount I saved. The next night after grocery shopping I had Eliza and Oliva pyne over for a "Dinner Party" for Jocey, they had a picnic on the floor and watched Willy Wonka and I made a very yummy dinner with all our cheap food. I don't think Trev was ever more excited for me to go grocery shopping. This Rocks!

Trying not to take things for granted!

So the last few weeks have been hard for me. We have been having to deal with alot of tragic losses at work lately and also having alot of close friends having alot of family drama. As I have had the distinct honor of trying to help my patients deal with the grieving process and loss of their baby that has made me realize how much I take my girls for granted. I think day after day life seems tough and busy and often I forget how truly blessed I have been. My girls are hysterical. They are not perfect by no means, they are as sassy as they come, but they make me laugh and they bring so much meaning to my life. They have taught me so much already. I am especially grateful for my sweet and extremely sexy husband. He often goes unrecognized for all of the amazing things he does. He seriously works 15-17 hours work days and yet as soon as he gets off he just wants to be with his girls. I have never met a man who is more in love with his daughters. For that I am so grateful, because sadly I am learning that men like him are hard to come by. He has the strongest testimony of anyone I know and I rely on him in ways he will never even know. I am so lucky he is mine:) Times are so crappy right now, but thankfully it has forced not only myself but I am sure many of you to be grateful for the small things, and realize that family is the most precious thing we will ever have. I hope I never take that for granted again.

Bella is already One and I am so sad!!! We had a fun little "butterfly" birthday party for her. Unfortunately, my little butterfly was not feeling so well and she would go from one aunt to the next and just lay on them. It was pretty sad. Thanks to all the family and friends who came. Big thank you to the best friend in the world Brynnely Pyne. You were totally my right hand at the party and I really appreciated it. I love you tons. She had a blast playing with all her new toys this morning. We missed grandma and grandpa Sorensen though and all the Sorensen family. I attempted to make her a butterfly cake but it was not the cutest in the world, she did love eating the icing. Bella has the funniest little personality. She can be the sweetest baby, but she is also extremely sassy and sometimes even a little mean. ha ha!!! We feel so lucky to have her in our family. We never forget how blessed we are. Happpy Birthday my sweet baby:)

7 Years Gone By.....

Happy anniversay to us!!! So Trev and I have a deal that we take turns planning our anniversay day. I strategically made sure that he is on the major years 10, 15, 20 etc. Anyways it was my turn this year. So the plan was my mom and sister agreed to watch the girls all day and have them spend the night. So we were going to sleep in go get a 10am couples massage and then go to our favorite breakfast spot Original Pancake house for brunch, then home for some fun and a good nap, then to dinner at the fabulous Texas De Brazil then off to the strip to see Blue Man Group. Well everything got shot down when I got a fabulous flat tire so instead I spent the day at the very busy tire shop and so I finally dropped the girls off at 3:30pm then raced home to get changed and go to dinner. Trev loves taking pictures so we took some goofy ones for fun. He gave me a bouquet of beautiful flowers and off to dinner we went, it was amazing it was entertaining watching Trevan sort through 15 different fine meats. Then after much debate we decided to forget the show and go home and enjoy the peace and quiet of being alone with no kids. It was fabulous needless to say. We have not been through much the last 7 years just.... breaking our neck, graduating collage, completing a intership, starting a company, working 12-15 hour days at the hospital, enjoyed some vacations(but definately not enough), had 2 beautiful, sassy, crazy girls, moved 4 times, having young women and cub scouts living at our house, the list goes on and on and we have not killed each other yet. We actually still like each other. Needless to say we have lived a stress-free life the last 7 (ha! ha!) but I am so grateful for each and every one of our experiences. The trials and the blessings have strenghened us individually and as a couple. Trevan has really had a rough road with his neck injury and yet he never lets it get in the way of his goals. He does such an amazing job as a provider, patriacrh, father, husband, and best friend. I am one lucky girl to have my best friend for my husband.

Inspection with Daddy

So my poor husband is crazy busy supporting our family and does such an amazing job with his company. Trevan loves "his Saturdays" (his only day of the week to really rest) but unfortunately today he had to go on an inspection and I suggested Joce go with, and she could not be more excited. She ran upstairs into her bedroom and put on her new swimming suit and beenie and came down. Of course we were hysterically laughing. Trev said "Joce that is not warm enough and you need shoes on" so she went upstairs and put on her lovely socks and shoes. When she came back down she proceeded to try to leave, and when we stopped her she insisted that her outfit was cute and started striking poses. Then finally decided to compromise and get a coat on. She had a blast with her daddy. He spoiled her with slurpees and skittles. The girls are the most happy when daddy is home. Bella is Trev's mini-me she follows him where ever he goes and whines and grunts at him until he picks her up. She loves being in her daddy's arms. I am so lucky to have a husband who truly adores his girls. I love him more and more everyday. I am the most privelged woman in the world to have my man by my side:) I love you Trevan!!!

We Love Feeding The Ducks!!!

Aunt Whitney and I decided to take the kids to the park to feed the ducks and a picinic before taking them to Grandma Cheryl's house. My mom rocks she started to spoil us occassionally by giving us a gift certificate to our favorite place to eat "the much loved Cafe Rio" and watches the kids for us. She does so much for us and is such an amazing Grandma. Our kids are so lucky to have her. Anyways the kids loved it Parker and Bella were more interested in feeding themselves instead of the ducks, but Jocelyn took care of that. As Joce would throw the popcorn Bella and Parker would pick it up and eat it with the ducks it was hysterical. Once again Joce got bit and was not to happy about that:)

Wow it was an amazing christmas. As a nurse I am required to work every other christmas and so the years that I have off I truly cherish every moment. This year was so fun Jocelyn totally understood the true meaning of christmas and wanted to have a full blown birthday party for Jesus, she really got into giving unto others and of course was all about Santa, but had no desire to go sit on his lap. Christmas Eve we did our traditional Formal Dinner at aunt Ellen's house. Dinner was yummy and then Great grandpa Bob read "twas the night before christmas" and the Grandpa Don REad the Christmas Story from the bible. We opened present and Great Grandma and
Grandpa Schmidt really spoiled us. Thanks again. Then raced home to set out cookies and carrots. Santa brought the girls a fabulous kitchen and shopping carts, and did you know that it cost Santa 240 dollars to make that kitchen and the day after christmas it could have cost santa only 80 I think santa will be coming to our house on the 27th from now on. Joce's favorite present besides the kitchen was all the 34 sticks of "lipstick" she got and did not stop putting it on all day. Bella loved her twin baby dolls she was having a screaming panic attack while trev was trying to get the dolls out of the box it was histarical. she would not stop kissing them. Really we could have just given her a candy cane and she would have been content. She ate 3 for breakfast. Trev spoiled me and got me a fabulous Lab top for christmas so now that I know how to use it I will hopefully keep up with blogging more. I love it he is way to good to me I do not deserve him. We ate our traditional Christmas breakfast of homeade cinnamon rolls and bacon. Then just hung out all day. Later that evening my family came over for yummy christmas dinner and we watched iron man. It really was a perfect christmas. Hope you all had a fabulous christmas as well:)

So my sister-n-law had the wonderful idea of annoucing our fabulous family news via blog. Good idea Em. Well I have double the fabulous news. My cute brother finally popped the question to his sweet girlfriend of a year Tracy on Christmas day. We can not wait the wedding will probably be in the fall (which is great that gives me hopefully plenty of time to get the rest of the baby weight off where it has been taking a permanent residence on my butt) and then I got a very surpising phone call from my darling brother-n-laws girlfriend of almost 2 years Nicole that Bryan finally asked her to be his bride yesterday. They hope to be married within 6 months. I can not wait and I feel so blessed to have two beautiful girls joining both sides of my family.

So I have been so neglecting blogging but the last three months have been crazy. We moved into our new home that has a casita for Trev's office and now he gets to "leave the house for work, but still be home" it has been awesome. We are finally settled and loving life and our new home. So this week was awesome. Tuesday we got back from california from disneyland and then on wednesday I went to a girlfriend's house to make cinnamon roll snowflakes and while we were doing that it starting snow and I almost started crying, but before we new it Las vegas looked like the north pole. "Hell and offically frozen over" It was so crazy that when i was trying to drive home I ended up hitting a curb. So we had a sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa because my tires could not deal with the snow. It was awesome. The picure is over my house and our view from our backyard. Love it. Then on Saturday all the Sorensen's and Gleave's came to our house for a BYU tail gate party. We have our fabulous Freshmen boys Danny and Justin who play for the Y and did an awesome job depsite our loss. It was so much fun to eat and hang out with all the family. It was awesome. Then Grandma and Grandpa and Danny stayed for our Christmas progam at church it was wonderful. I love christmas time I really should be a elf. We had the perfect week.

Girls Trip to Disneyland!!!!

So we had been planning a family trip to Disneyland for the last 6 months for Jocelyn's 1st time and we could not wait. Then the day before we were suppose to leave poor Trevan's entire computer network shut down it was horrible, but being the good dad that he is, he insisted that I still take Joce so I did. I was lucky enough to go with my wonderful friend who I also have the pleasure every week of working with at the hospital Kim Martinez and her family. Then my sweet brother in law Bryan and his fabulous girlfriend Nicole (hopefully soon sister in law Hint Hint bryan) also came with us. We started the day with pooring down cold rain but that was not going to stop us nor did the 2 and a half hour long L.A. traffic stop us. We met the Martinez family at Goofy's Kitchen for their little boy Axel's Birthday breakfast it was amazing. It is a must every time we go to disney now. Thanks Kim for the fabulous treat. I love you. Joce was terrified at first of all the animal characters and cried if they came near, but no worries instantly loved any princess she saw. I was determined to see all of disney in a day. So we ran from town to town and road almost every ride we could. It was probably not the best idea to take my scared 3 year old on Thunder mountain just because she was tall enough I am pretty sure I tramatized her, but I definatly made up for it when I took her for 2 hours to meet all the princess's in person and have them sign her book then, to the coronation cermeony where she learned to dance, wave, sing, and act like a princess. The parade and firework show was amazing, but sadly after a long day from 6:30 am to 12 midnight in was over. Goofy's buffet, 5 churro's, Chicken fingers, and a turkey leg later it was time to leave. Pretty sure Joce got a mild case of hyperthermia but now that I now how to properly dress my child we will always go during christmas time, on a rainy day no one was there it was awesome. The next morning I asked Joce "baby do you want to go back to disneyland?" her response was "no we were there way to long yesterday and I hate that train". Thanks again to Kim, bryan and nicole we had a blast and also to Grandma Roxann for letting us stay and having a grandma day with Bella. WE love you.

Jocelyn's 1st Dance Recital with Mrs. Lori

Jocey started taking dance this year with the famous Mrs. Lori. She looked forward to it every monday. She took class with her best little friend Olivia Pyne. Their
1st recital was on December 8, 2008. I was so excited that I even made her christmas costume. So about 2 minutes before the show was suppose to start Jocelyn was sitting on her tape on stage waiting and then looked at me in a whispering screaming voice said "Mom I peed" I said what and she repeated "mom I peed" so my and my fabulous friend Brynnley Pyne took every bib I had in my diaper bag and went to clean up the disater. Luckily I made her tu-tu so poofy that it acted as a barrier and the pee stayed in a nice little puddle. 2 minutes later Joce was dancing her little heart out. Talk about serious stage nerves. Her daddy was so cute and gave her flowers after the show she thought she was so cool. Thanks to all my family and the Hartsell girls for coming and supporting. We love you all.

Three witches! Over the Halloween weekend we visited family and the famous Schmidt Haunted House which Cheryl puts up every year and does an amazing job. We went to a haunted house and I (Trev) had to go in first, hilarious for everyone else. We had a trunk or treat at the church where the girls dressed up as good witches. Joce wanted a mole on her face to be "a better witch" in her words. Overall, the holiday was great as Joce really got into it and Bella was cute as ever, witches have never looked better.

So it only took me three weeks but i am finally posting Jocelyn's big 3rd birthday. What a loser mom am I! Anyways, we wanted to keep it a little more low key. So, Trevan ask Joce "you only get one present this year so make it good and Jocelyn's reply was a castle please." Trev said like a little castle to play with all your figurines in, and Joce said no one that you live in. We thought that was pretty funny. So I have the tradition when dad goes to work the kids and I have birthday cake for breakfast and Jocelyn loved it she kept saying "mom this is so sneaky". Well she got her castle we found and 6' x 6' tent castle she could play in and she lives in it. Trev and I took her to a birthday lunch with one of her best friends Ellie Wroble who she does not get to see very often at Red Robin. They had so much fun. Then at night my mom and dad were nice enough to let us get together and have cake and ice cream at their house. Joce wanted pink princess cupcakes. I think she had a great day. I can't believe how big she is. We are so lucky to have her.

My wife suprised me and bought great seats to the Laker's game. Every year the Lakers play the hated Sacramento Kings as part of the Laker's preseason schedule. We had great seats at the T&M and were able to see the great Kobe Bryant whi played most of the game as well as Gasol and Bynum. It was one of the steps on the road to a championship. I know my dad and brothers wished they could have been there to cheer on the lake show, sorry guys.

We had our first offical Schmidt monday night football dinner. Our family is still in mourning over the loss of Brett, but we are coping as best as we can. Greenbay won and that is all that matters. We wish Brett all the best, but hopefully he knows he will always have a piece of the Schmidt family heart. Grandpa Don was incharge this time and did an awesome job. He also had Packer attire for his grandchildren. Thanks Grandpa!!!

Jocelyn 1st Offical Dance Class

Joce started her first dance class this week I was so proud of her she totally paid attention and listened to Miss Lori. She did talk alot and had to be the center of attention, but honestly I did not expect anything less. She is the youngest and the tallest in her class. She is the one in the center of the line. She had so much fun and is doing the class with her best friend livi. After class we had a mommy-daughter lunch date at cafe rio. It was an awesome day.

Utah Girls Trip!!!

We had a Blast!!! Our whole family started our little utah trip going to see Uncle Danny play in his 1st BYU football Game. It was a blast and Danny did awesome of course. Grandma and Grandpa could not have been prouder. Of course all the grandkids had matching BYU shirts compliments of Grandma Roxann. Thanks Grandma:) Then on sunday we had a big family getting together with the entire Sorensen family. It was great to see everyone especially Great Grandpa Sorensen he is so sweet we just wish we could see him more often. At the dinner Ethan and Joce thought they should go to the bathroom together and not put their clothes back on, and then escape into the front yard naked. Emily and I looked like "mothers of the year", but of course we had to take pictures. Sadly that night Trevan, Grandpa Kory and Bryan had to leave to go back home to work. We missed Daddy so much through out the week.

The rest of the week was filled with exciting adventures. Emily, I and the kids were inseperable and I loved every minute of it. I wish so badly we lived closer. We took trips to carnivals, went to chucky chesse, thanksgiving point, the hoogle zoo, (where Jen Poulton and her girls and Richelle and baby Jack met us. Joce and Lily Poulton clicked instantly and were best friends it was awesome)we had craft night with Emily and Jen (we are so crafty now thanks to em), me and the girls slipped away to my aunt amy's house with cousin Ben Holst for a dinner play date it was yummy and so much fun thanks again, and at the end of the week we had the pleasure of going to cousin Whitney Gleaves wedding. Jocelyn was invited to be a flower girl and she was thrilled, she called her dress her "married dress". Joce was mesmorized by whit she kept telling her how beautiful she was and was constantly touching her face and hair, and then hugged her so tight she knock whit flat on her back in the grass.

We stayed with Great Grandma Gleave and Grandma Roxann and got to spend lots of quality time with them. Thanks Grandmas. Bella got sick on our trip which was a total bummer, but was still my little sweet heart. I think her favorite part of the trip was the petting zoo she would yell and grunt at the animals to get their attention and constantly wanted to pet them it was darling. Some of my favorite statements jocelyn made during our trip was at the petting zoo at thanksgiving point. We took a wagon ride with huge white horses pulling the wagon and when Jocelyn saw the wagon she said "oh my carriage is here to take me to my palace" and then there was a hedge maze and she looked at it and said "oh mommy look the Enchanted Forest". I am pretty sure she lives in a fantasy princess world. We had so much fun and hopefully will do that more often. A big thanks again to Grandma Roxann for all of her help and especially to my sister Emily you are an amazing mom, friend and sister thanks for everything I miss you already:)

Cox Family Reunion!

Papaloon and Honey Cox (also known as Owen and Grace Cox) traditional family reunion held in pine valley utah was this weekend. I adored my great- grandparents and miss them very much, but it was great to see all the family. Pine Valley is a beautiful place. The girls and I went with my parents and Joce had a blast playing in the stream with aunt Jess and Kait, and Bella loved laying on the blanket basking in the sun hanging out with Grandpa Don.

Sitting good and loving it. Her 1st tooth finally broke through on July 28th and she did not love that, but she does love tylenol and motrin!!!Joce had to have a picture in her yellow dress too!

My Brother the Hero!!!! Tannar offically graduated the Las Vegas Metro Police academy on July 31, 2008. The last 6 months he has been working sooooo incredibly hard and he finally made it. Tannar is so amazing and has accomplished so much already. I hope he knows how proud Trev and I are of him and how much we love him. The whole Family was at the ceremony and then dad planned a luncheon after at "Metro Pizza" (get it metro police force, metro pizza) Very catchy dad good job. The photos above is of Tannar with our immediate family and the proud grandparents and the other is Tannar and his lucky girlfriend Tracy. The photo at the bottom is a picture of Uncle Tannar's smallest fans Bella and Parker at the luncheon.

My girls are already best friends. Jocelyn is Bella's second little mommy and protector. You would think that Bella would get annoyed from all the constant smothering, but that is not the case. Bella thinks Jocelyn is the greatest thing alive. Bella just watches Jocelyn's every move, and when Jocelyn wakes up in the morning the first thing she worries about is where Bella is and if she is awake, and then she proceeds to Bella her how much she missed her during the night. Jocelyn feeds her and even cleans up Bella spits up. My girls are both so sweet at times and so spicy at times and they definately mesh well together. I already caught them sneaking and hiding from me (picture down below) which I thought was so adorable and so scary all at the same time.

My cousin Darcy took some amazing photos of the family during a trip to see Grandma & Grandpa Sorensen. I know you must think that Dad was photoshoped into the picture but your wrong...I was there. For the 4th we visited the few remaining Cali Sorensens. Friday we went to see the Angels play the Bluejays and for the post game firework show. Right before the game a giant B-52 Bomber flew over and the fireworks after were done to music and were great. During the game Jo-Jo got a purple "rally monkey", Bryan ate a 20" hot dog, and Joce had her first experience with cotton candy. It was a great night and Joce still asks Mom & Dad if she can go to the "Fire-game" with grandpa Kory.

This weekend we went swimming, and relaxed. Lex and I did sealings at the Temple which was only our second time since our wedding day, it was a great experience. Bella is smiling more everyday and she hates rice cereal. Jo-Jo is busy dressing up like a princess and watching Blue's Clues, Sleeping Beauty and Anastasia . Dad is depressed due to the lack of good officiating which is costing the Lakers the championship, and Lex just continues on taking care of everyone and has created the perfect enchilada recipe, ask her for it they were awesome.

Happy Memorial Day! It was impossible to get a good picture of the girls in their memorial day outfits they were both grumpy, so we gave up and that is the best we got. How sad is that. We had a blast despite the picture. It is tradition in the Schmidt family that every memorial day we get together to celebrate Great Grandpa Bob and Uncle Tannar's b-days, and then have a big memorial day "pool volleyball tournament" and barbeque. Joce loves the water and swam like a fish, and Bella screamed when we put her in the water it was a little to cold and she is definately use to her warm baths~

Jocey is expanding her vocabulary every day, she got frustrated today and she yelled as she threw her arms down and said "The freaking......., I just cant handle it anymore". I was like you cant handle what..... pull-up rash, Disney movies again, getting to the potty on time? She is trying to jump directly to her teens. Bella is so sweet however, she has been struggling with her RSV. Shout out to Grandma Schmidt for being brave enough to take both girls to the Doctor when Lex/Trev were at work, thanks! Jocey cant wait to talk to Uncle Brad this weekend, she frequently blesses Uncle Brad in her prayers, and then she prays for the popsicles in our fridge? It was long day at the Schmidt's helping Jessie get ready for prom. Jocelyn is always trying to help lex and loves to copy her, even if it envolves make-up. Lex has a talent for applying make-up and has helped with Emily's & Whitney's, weddings and countless other make-up jobs with her friends and family. After watching mom apply her craft Jo-Jo had to participate even without permission.

After my surgery the doctor said I had some nerve damage, this nerve damage has served as a good laugh for anyone that has witnessed the many parts of my body that due to neglect try to act out to get attention....oh we can see you Mr. Lip...in my case a little to good.

The bottom one is not so bad...the top one however makes me look as if I have escaped from a mental institution.

Lex and I vacationed in Oahu, Hawaii for a little more than a week. Since we just started this blog and hopefully it can take the place of my Lexi's expensive scrapbook addiction, so we are including some of our best memories. We Dropped Jo-Jo (8 months) off at the Sorensens for a week, it was the first time we had been away from her more than a day. We were lucky to go with my best buddy Matt Parkhurst (Hawaiian local) and his wife. We let Matt be our travel guide and we hung out at the North Shore for the majority of the time. We would go get these Hawaiian donuts called "malasadas" every morning....amazing, then we would head to Waimea Bay all day. The sand was warm, the sky was perfectly blue and you could see tons of multi-colored fish in unbelievably clear water...we did a ton of snorkeling, napping, and reading Dan Brown books. Frequently after a long day at the beach we would visit this great Mexican restaurant named "Rosie's Cantina", we would just relax and enjoy the best pina-coladas, margaritas-virgin of course, and chips and salsa. We had so much fun and it seems like 20 years ago as we currently are spending all our free time changing diapers and entertaining 2 beautiful girls 24/7.

It was a typical Sunday morning trying to get the girls to match, get their toes painted, hair curled, and to smile at the same time. Lexi does such a great job and we get tons of compliments at church on how cute the girls are. Or people ask me "are you new in the ward, whats you last name, who is your wife" I just reply skipping over the first two questions, and go straight to: the really talented girl with long brown hair is my wife. They instantly say "Oh I know Alexis, she is so gorgeous and sweet"......then there is a long pause. I only can figure that the long pause is integestion not that how we are together. Oh well.

Happy Easter....For Easter we went down to California to visit our Family. What an adventure for Jocelyn...she had so much fun throwing the eggs into the small dye filled glasses, or using her hands to decorate the eggs....and the tablecloth. When it came to the finding of the eggs she was very enthused until she realized there was candy and more important "Money" in the eggs. Grandpa hid the eggs as though for an army and it was funny after the family had searched for a good 45 min Dan asked "how many are left", we were all thinking 5 to 10ish must be left but to our suprise Grandpa replied with a grin "No, there is about 50 left". What..... there were no more eggs visible to the eye, and we had found plenty in the ivy, trash, ivy, and roof. Grandpa obviously needs more grandchildren and the buula buula song will not work with 50 unfound eggs.

The Food was amazing, the weather was perfect and the girls loved to spend time with their California grandparents.

Mom & Dad and the boys were in attendance from Cali, the entire Schmidt Family was present, many of our friends and our overflowing ward (split 4 times this year) was there to witness Bella's Blessing in one of the largest Priesthood Circles to date. After we served the Schmidt's famous "Tacos". Lets just say that people lingered and it didn't help that Grandpa Kory made his wondeful Lemonade.
